What happens when you've been a blogger for five years, and then all of a sudden you start a new blog with a completely different purpose (a purpose you have yet to officially determine)?
Well, this. This blog post.
This isn't my first rodeo. I've maintained a personal/family blog since my daughter was born five years ago. This IS my first time starting a blog about my profession, though.
My profession -- I should probably mention what that is...
I'm a high school business teacher. (Best. Job. Ever.) And I am an advocate for real-world readiness (to include college and/or career, of course). And I happen to love the field of business (almost everything about it). In a nutshell, this is who I am professionally.
I've wanted to start a blog about business and education for a while now (I've even written that "first blog post" a few times), but didn't have a real mission/purpose. Who would my blog target? What information would I share? Would it be a waste of time?
And I still don't have an answer for that.
But I'm jumping in. Because jumping in is sometimes the only way I start things.
I'm not sure where this blog will end up...but hey, it's about the journey, right?
Thanks for stopping by my new educator blog (that's gonna have to grow on me). I hope one day you will come here and find something valuable.
In the meantime, you can find me on Twitter. If I have something to say/share with little to no time on my hands (which is often), I do it there.
Thanks!
